Gestern brachen 8 Jeeps (20 Leute) unseres Instituts zur Hochlandtour auf.

What means 8 x 4x4?

8 Jeeps (20 people) of the institute made a trip in the Icelandic highlands yesterday.

Im Gegensatz zu ganz Europa hat es in Island schon seit Wochen nicht mehr richtig geregnet.

Was sah man daher hauptsächlich während der Tour?

Nichts als Staub!

Staubwolken!

There was no rain in Iceland since weeks - contrary to whole Europe.

So, what could we see during our tour?

Nothing than dust!

Clouds of dust!

Manchmal konnte man auch etwas Landschaft sehen.

Sometimes we could see a little bit of the landscape.

Manchmal auch etwas mehr.

Sometimes a little bit more.

Ja, das ist Island!

Nichts soweit das Auge reicht.

Wie auf dem Mond (Auch die Isländer sagen es so!)... gibt es Wasser auf dem Mond?

Yes, this is Iceland!

Nothing to see!

Like on the moon (Even the Icelanders say so!)... Does water exist on the moon?

Kein Staub! Nebel!

No dust! Fog!

Staub im Abendsonnenschein.

Dust in the evenig sun.

Ich werde noch so einiges über diese Tour berichten in den nächsten Tagen, denn es war einfach beeindruckend!
