Das muss man sich mal vorstellen:
Da hungert man ewig waehrend der gefahrvollen Seereise durch Wind und Wetter auf einem Eisberg, nur um dann erschossen zu werden, weil man sich einen Imbiss holen will.
Die Welt ist so ungerecht!
Die einzig zugelassenen Raubtiere auf Island sind anscheinend nur die Menschen und deren Hauskatzen.
Dagegen ist der ueberraschende Gartenteichbewohner, ein Bergmolch (Wiki-LINK), meiner Tante wirklich harmlos (Danke fuer die Mail und das Foto).

This is just awful. What a terrible and senseless act. I am appalled that the polar bear was just shot outright. Such a rare event as the bear surviving its trip over the ocean to land in Iceland should have been celebrated. I'm very sad.
Ich habe einen Kollegen, der Björn heißt. Vielleicht sollte ich dem mal eine Islandreise schenken, wenn er mal wieder wie ein Ísbjörn riecht...
@Terry: My Icelandic is still very bad, so I couldn´t understand the whole article, but I think the main reason to shot him was for safety reason. Now in the holiday season, the children run around everywhere. The Icelanders are not used to large predators. And the bear may not only interested in lambs or horses... But still it´s a sad and poor decision.
